Rug

After our sample board I got to design an area rug that would go in that office space. It is supposed to be contemporary. I played with a lot of different designs, but I finally went back to my room to find inspiration. It came from the glass drops that were part of a light fixture. Once I figured out what I was doing it was very easy to finish--it took just a day to do the entire thing. But that didn't include all of the ideation (thinking on paper) that I did, mostly during my science class. Actually now that I think of it, I have done most of my ideations in that class. My notebook that I was supposed to use to take notes has a bunch of sketches and phrases of design concepts in it. Anyway, I design my own logo which was fun and I got to come up with names for the colors I selected: acid green, gray mist, and winter sky.
What I learned...
It feels so good to get projects done early so you don't have to worry about them
Look for inspiration that can help guide you design
Naming colors is really fun
