A Studio Set for BYU-Idaho

For the past month I have been pretty non-existent in the blogging world. Among other things, this has been due to having two jobs and keeping up in school while trying to have a life (more or less).

One of my jobs has been to design a studio set, with a friend in my interior design program. The set is being used for a broadcast from the president and vice president of my school (Brigham Young University-Idaho) to the alumni. The broadcast is today at 7:00 pm MST and you can watch it here:

It was great working on a real project in a real space, not just on paper. I will post some pictures of the finished product but for now you can look at the BEFORE pictures, to get an idea of what we started with...

Notice the half-done wainscoting job. Don't worry. We took care of it.

Two squares of carpet tile in the corner, a half-full (or half-empty, depending of your perspective) bookcase, and plants that were perfectly situated behind the seated person's head to create a green aura of shrubby hair. All of this and more has been improved upon.
