Shape Project

This is my shape project entitled: Curiosity. I took the magazine picture I used for my line project, reduced it into its most basic form, and created abstract shapes. I drew about 20 different versions before I finally started figuring out what I wanted to do. Eventually I came up with a design concept, and that helped guide my design. With some more persistence I came up with my design. For my presentation, I told a story about Wendell the curious worm and his adventures exploring the world outside his dirt hole. My design concept was "Opposition in all things" meaning that sometimes we need to have hard, trying experiences to appreciate life's blessings. We need to be curious about the world around us to to gain experience and come to understand how good we have it.

What I learned: Come up with a design concept FIRST. Coloring is not always a fun. Second opinions, from reliable sources, can be very helpful. I can do hard things!
