So long Boise, hello New York City! My mom and my sister dropped me off at the airport Friday morning for a full day of flying. My lunch consisted of peanuts, pretzels, cranberry juice, and oreos, while my dinner was a cheeseburger from McDonalds.
After almost 10 hours or so of traveling, I reached LaGuardia with my giant suitcases that I could barely manage. I landed around 10pm and finally got to my apartment, safe and sound, around 12. Cabs are CRAZY here! It was an exciting ride.
Here is the closet-sized kitchen in our apartment. It looks tiny in the picture and is tiny in real life. We'll see how much cooking I'll be doing...
This is my bed. The top one. That giant thing on the ground is the AC unit for our room. Although it wasn't too bad sleeping last night, I know it's going to be a long, hot summer.
This is the living room and it has a wall covered in blackboard paint so we can doodle. It's fairly spacious for four girls. There are these little lofts on either side for storage.
I have three roommates who are really great girls, two of which also have interior design internships. Today we're going to buy my Metro pass, check out a Lebanese festival, and have dinner with my aunt and uncle. I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Oh girl...I'm looking forward to reading about your NYC adventures!
I only got to spend a week there a few years back with Tatton, but man, I loved it.
Good luck on Monday!

I am crazy about your brick wall, your chalkboard wall, and the fact that you are in NEW YORK.
